Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Grace and Grief…As a Minister of Pastoral Care and Discipleship (retired Winfree Memorial Baptist Church in Midlothian, Virginia) I have found that I have two passions that stand above the rest in my ministry. First, I have seen so many examples of how God’s grace flows through His people, and I enjoy drawing on those examples and on scripture to share stories of this amazing gift. I want to attempt to capture and communicate the goodness of grace; the abundance of God’s grace through my blogs.
It was through the grace of God that in my pastoral care ministry at Winfree Memorial Baptist Church I found my passion for helping others work through grief. These topics, grace and grief, may not be as polar as they might seem initially. If grief is your starting point, you will find that grace can be an essential part of your grief journey. On this website I hope to share how grace shows up in grief, how God’s grace abounds, even in the darkness of sorrow.
